TURBOCAM Designated a Recovery Friendly Workplace

Barrington, NH - In March 2018, TURBOCAM joined 15 New Hampshire companies in adopting Governor Sununu’s Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative. Recently, TURBOCAM received a certificate in honor of its standing as a Recovery Friendly Workplace. Led by Governor Chris Sununu, New Hampshire's Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative promotes individual wellness by empowering workplaces to provide support for people recovering from substance use disorders.

According to PolEcon Research, untreated addiction costs New Hampshire's economy $2.36 billion, and 66% of that cost ($1.5 billion) is incurred by businesses in the form of impaired productivity and absenteeism. The Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative gives business’ the resources and support they need to foster a supportive environment that encourages the success of their employees in recovery.

“TURBOCAM was happy to be an early adopter of this initiative. As a community focused employer, it makes a lot of sense for us to be part of this. It also makes good business sense, as the recovery community is a relatively untapped portion of the labor force,” said Pete Hanson, TURBOCAM Director of Talent Development. “We know that gainful employment is very important to an individual’s recovery plan and we want to be part of that."
