TURBOCAM Wins 2011 SBA “Exporter of the Year” Award

(USA)Company receiving award at the 2011 SBA Small Business Awards Luncheon – On May 4, 2011, TURBOCAM was selected as the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 2011 New Hampshire Small Business "Exporter of the Year." TURBOCAM was nominated because of the company’s dedication and efforts to bring a bit of New Hampshire to all the corners of the earth. TURBOCAM was selected due to their outstanding record of having almost 70 percent of their manufacturing output sold directly as exports or indirectly as components assembled in other exported products.

Since its inception nearly 60 years ago, the SBA has helped millions of small business owners by providing the financial support, contracts, counseling, and other forms of assistance they need to succeed. SBA's programs now include financial and federal contract procurement assistance, management assistance, and specialized outreach to women, minorities, and armed forces veterans. SBA also provides loans to victims of natural disasters and specialized advice and assistance in international trade.

Greta Johansson, District Director of the New Hampshire Office of the SBA said, “The accomplishments of TURBOCAM International are truly impressive and serve as an example to other small business owners that borders certainly present new challenges, but they need not bound the growth of your company.”

The award was presented to TURBOCAM at The Small Business Awards Luncheon held on Wednesday, May 25, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua, N.H. Accepting the award on behalf of TURBOCAM were Ollie Sexton, Vice President of Business Development, and Tim Noronha, Electrochemical Machining Product Engineer at TURBOCAM Unconventional Machining Solutions in Dover, N.H. Tim is a son of TURBOCAM's President and Founder, Marian Noronha.
