Hi, I am Attila and in just a few words, I want to tell you how God changed my life, gave me a great future through the work I got at TURBOCAM, and about my life in a children’s home.

Praise the Lord!

I grew up in an orphanage a few kilometers from Tirgu-Mures in Romania. It is hard to grow up without parents, without anyone to come looking for you, and you know that you are abandoned and forgotten, without knowing what it means to love, or forgive. I was lonely and scared because of all the evil that was happening around me. I also did not know what awaited me.

After I turned 19, I had to leave the orphanage without having a place to go. I did not know where to go or what to do with my life. I had no goals, in fact I never had any purpose—usually the children coming out of the orphanage arrived on the streets or more likely in jail. Before I had to leave the house, I heard children talking about Jesus Christ, so I hoped maybe I had a future and that He would help me…

Then I stayed for two years on the streets, sleeping on benches, under bridges, and wherever I could. The hardest times were in the winter months; I was cold, hungry, and did not have anyone to help me. I had no money to pay my rent or for food. Sometimes I found seasonal work, so I managed to survive for a while, but once the work ended, I would get back to the state I was in before.

One day I looked at the sky and I cried to the Lord and said: “God, I do not want to live this life anymore. I am an orphan and I've never had anything. I have no purpose in my life. Change my life and help me!” And God made me meet Marco Noordhoek, a programmer at TURBOCAM Romania, and he listened about my life. He saw the bad conditions I had, and told me that I could not live that way. He said I needed a stable job. I also met Sorin Ignat, Managing Director at TURBOCAM Romania.

God worked through Marco and Sorin and they had me come to the company because they wanted to see me. I came to Turbocam, praying to be employed there, and knowing that it was a company of Christians. I knew that it would be God's will that I be employed.

God gave me a one in a million chance that permanently changed my future—for the better! Now I can say I have a future! Glory Be to God for only He could give me a future with these people! God blessed me with a job. Turbocam is a blessing from God! Because of this job, I could find a place to live, with much better conditions!

I will never be able to thank Marco and Sorin enough for the love they showed me in the Lord. For seven months, I lived in a house without windows, without light, in terrible conditions. Sometimes I had nothing to eat.

In the orphanage I suffered a lot because I was beaten, mocked and despised, but I met God and His unspeakable love, and with time, I learned to love and to forgive. Even when I was hungry on the streets, I knew there were people suffering more than me and in much harder situations than me. So, I had to fight and to believe in something better, simply because I was living and I was healthy.

I thank God because now I have a purpose in my life and I encourage others to show orphans and other people that God can give them another way to live—through serving the Lord Jesus.

My job at Turbocam is proof for other orphans that God has a plan for each of them! Praise the Lord, and thank you all for the chance that changed my life!

The greatest achievement since I came to work at Turbocam is that now I can help others like myself as I have been helped by others. I can encourage them, thus proclaiming God's love for his children!
