As a key supplier to many OEM’s worldwide and as a thriving company in 9 countries on 4 continents, TURBOCAM is frequently honored with supplier of the year awards, certificates of achievement, and many other forms of recognition for how we serve our clients, the community, and beyond.
Some of the more recent and major achievements we have been awarded are as follows:
FREEDOM AWARD
In 2007, the U.S. Department of Defense honored TURBOCAM with the “Freedom Award." The award was created to publicly recognize employers who provide exceptional support to their National Guard and Reserve employees. It is the highest in a series of employer recognition awards given by the Department of Defense.
TURBOCAM provided one National Guard and Reserve employee on a tour of duty with software and hardware to allow internet cafe capabilities for his unit, while another employee’s unit was provided life-saving battlefield surveillance technology. The company also provided a $10,000 fund for deployed employees to draw from for needed supplies not routinely available through normal channels. Wall displays, company publications, and newsletters all pay tribute to military employees.
The company president, Mr. Marian Noronha, is an advocate for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) mission and actively recruits National Guard and Reservists for employees. The TURBOCAM company culture honors the importance of the family and Mr. Noronha has declared that deployed employee families will be fully supported. As a practice, TURBOCAM puts their military employees first and encourages other businesses to do the same.
TURBOCAM signed a 5-Star Statement of Support and received the "Above and Beyond" and "Pro Patria" Awards from the ESGR. TURBOCAM considers it a privilege to support our soldiers, as they put their lives on the line to defend our freedom.
BUSINESS LEADER OF THE YEAR
Another recent honor was when our chairman and founder Marian Noronha was named as the 2009 Business Leader of the Year by Business NH Magazine. Noronha was honored "for his considerable community involvement both in New Hampshire and overseas, his commitment to employees and business excellence, and the impressive growth and success of TURBOCAM Inc."
A screening committee made up of members of the N.H. Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (NHACCE) had the difficult task of paring the remarkable field of applicants down to three semifinalists. From there, a Panel of Excellence with executives from the 2008 winning companies selected the winner after careful consideration.

TURBOCAM has once again been named Supplier of the Year by Cummins Inc. 2010 represents the third year in a row that TURBOCAM has earned this award.
Recently, TURBOCAM was honored at a dinner and trade show attended by top Cummins officials. Chairman and CEO Tim Solso, vice chairman Joe Loughrey and president and COO Tom Linebarger were all in attendance. Solso pointed out that supplier diversity will be increasingly important as Cummins prepares for rapid growth over the next five years, entering new markets and developing new products. "That means a lot of opportunities for our supply base," said Solso, who doubled Cummins' goal to $1 billion in spending with minority-owned businesses by 2012. "We are very serious about what we are doing."
SUPPLIER AWARD FROM NASA AND PRATT & WHITNEY ROCKETDYNE
TURBOCAM received a supplier appreciation award in 2009 from the National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) and Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne (PWR) in recognition of our support of the J-2X rocket engine development, a key element of the NASA Constellation Program. TURBOCAM prototyped and manufactured numerous complex turbomachinery components for the J-2X Program including critical hardware for the J-2X Upper Stage Engine, Oxygen Turbopump, and Fuel Pump.
"As we enter the fabrication and testing phase of the J-2X Development Program, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and support TURBOCAM has provided in pursuit of this effort," said John Vilja, J-2X Program Manager.
"TURBOCAM is proud to receive this award on behalf of all our employees and is honored to be recognized for our contributions to the engine that will eventually take American astronauts back to the moon," said Marian Noronha, TURBOCAM President. "This award confirms that we are doing the right things to stay competitive in the global aerospace marketplace."
