TURBOCAM Automated Production Systems (TAPS) is capable of round-the-clock unmanned manufacturing of large numbers of centrifugal impellers and blisks. Parts are changed robotically, and the process is continuously monitored to achieve the close tolerances and surface finishes needed for high performance turbomachinery applications.
The plant manufactures compressor impellers from wrought aluminum and titanium. As a result of the high speed, continuous process, prices for aluminum compressor impellers have dropped considerably when purchased in large quantities. Even titanium impellers can now be made affordably.
Current capacity is approximately 400,000 impellers annually. This is in response to a market demand for machined impellers and blisks from wrought alloys to replace cast components from weaker alloys. The equipment currently in place is particularly suited to high-speed machining of arbitrary and sculptured blade surfaces.

In 2006, TURBOCAM International launched a concerted effort to penetrate the aviation market with a new division, TURBOCAM Aero (T-AERO). T-AERO can handle single-piece prototypes or 1,000 piece scheduled production runs of impellers and blisks. Our manufacturing centers are automated to run unmanned as much as possible and the process is continuously monitored to ensure that the mission critical quality requirements and finishes demanded by these parts are achieved.
T-AERO works with many of the world's leading aerospace companies such as GEAE, Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney, and Teledyne to name just a few. TURBOCAM Energy Solutions, LLC (TES) is an affiliate company providing metallurgical solutions for wear applications, such as bearings, rollers, bushings, and gears. The company’s proprietary TX1 process is used in demanding applications where it may achieve as much as 30 times the wear resistance as untreated surfaces, and easily surpasses the capabilities of other processes.
TES also provides design and development services in turbomachinery, in conjunction with partner companies that specialize in components of the development process. About Our Area
Dover is the oldest continuous settlement in New Hampshire and the seventh oldest in the United States. The permanent settlement occurred in what is now the Dover Neck area. For a few years Dover was an independent colony named Northam. In 1692 Northam became part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The original township of Dover included the present towns of Dover, Durham, Lee, Madbury, Somersworth, Rollinsford, and parts of Newmarket, Newington, and Greenland.
Dover has always used the Cocheco and Bellamy Rivers to its economic advantage. The first use of the water power of the Cocheco River was in 1642, when a saw mill was built. In the 1700s Dover had an extensive shipbuilding industry. By 1830, the city had become a leading manufacturer of cotton goods in the country, using the river to power several mills. Later in the 19th century, a brick industry flourished and shoe manufacturing developed in the 1900s.
Today, Dover is home to major employers like TURBOCAM Energy Systems, Liberty Mutual, Measured Progress and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. As of 2009, the population was 28,693.

Our TURBOCAM Electrochemical Machining (TECM) division offers unconventional machining solutions for components with material requirements or features that are difficult, or even impossible, to machine by traditional methods.
Our TECM division currently offers:
- Electrochemical Machining (ECM): ECM can be used to process ALL metals and alloys and produces a burr-free, inspection-ready surface of 5–15µ inch Ra in a single pass. Since the products are machined without any contact or heat and are not subjected to any mechanical or thermal stress, fragile products that are thin, easily deformed, or cannot bear high loads are ideal candidates for ECM.
- Wire EDM Electric Discharge Machining (EDM): The wire-cut EDM can be programmed to cut very intricate and delicate shapes or to rough hard metals that are difficult and expensive to machine with other methods.
- Shaped Tube Electrolytic Machining (STEM Drilling): High aspect (400:1) shaped holes are achievable with this process.
Products that require production manufacture in alloys such as Hastelloy®, Inconel® 718 & 625, MAR-M™ 246 & 247, Rene™ 95 & 41, Rhenium, Udimet® 720, and Waspalloy™ are all perfect candidates for manufacturing at our TECM division.

In 2011, TURBOCAM Inc. started working on a process to produce high pressure compressor stator segments and singlet vanes for a prominent customer. Marian Noronha, President of TURBOCAM International, saw the opportunities the new engines presented, and through this vision created a new business unit, TURBOCAM Aero Engines (TAE) in January 2012.
This new business group has rapidly transitioned during the past year by hiring personnel, bringing in new equipment, developing new technologies, improving process flow, adding many certifications for current customers, and improving part quality to meet the extremely tight tolerances that customers demand.

TURBOCAM Europe Ltd. (TEL) was established in 1991 in Fareham on the south coast of England. With 46 employees and 15 5- and 4-axis milling machines, the company primarily serves customers in Europe.
TEL is a growing supplier of bulk automotive and aerospace components and many of our high-speed milling centers run 24 hours a day producing small compressor wheels. In 2009, the company manufactured 20,000 impellers in over 200 unique designs. The company has experience in high volume, low batch, and prototype production, and also makes blades for steam and gas turbines.

About Our Area
The Town of Reeuwijk is a beautiful small village situated in the heart of the Netherlands, surrounded by 12 lakes. The town was established as a prime location for peat harvesting. The earliest known reference to the town is from 1248.
The area prospered in the 18th century when layers of peat were dug up, dried, and used as fuel for industries in the City of Gouda, where the famous cheese comes from. Eventually these peat quarries struck a fresh-water spring, forming the Reeuwijk Ponds (Reeuwijkse Plassen).

Named literally for a “market” on the Mures River and known as the city of roses, Tîrgu Mureş (Marosvásárhely in Hungarian) enjoys the best of both Romanian and Hungarian cultures. Numerous vestiges attest the presence of Neolithic cultures and those of the Bronze and Metal Ages in this area. Archaeological diggings have brought to light Roman relics in the surrounding towns.

TURBOCAM is represented in Canada by its software partner CAMplete Solutions, Inc., a dynamic software development company specializing in custom CAD/CAM software. CAMplete teamed up with TURBOCAM in November 2000 creating a unique relationship within 5-axis machining.
CAMplete's TruePath is a result of this partnership. Until TruePath, no CAD/CAM or visualization program accurately represented 5-axis toolpaths and kinematics. The name says it all - TruePath represents the "true path" of tool motion and can also show the difference between the actual and assumed motion generated by machines.
